@hardwicke_sam Reminds me of Brandon Anderson’s analogy of cooks and chefs. Cooks follow a recipe while chefs understand the components and why they are there (and use this knowledge to change recipes or make new ones altogether). Brandon applies this to writing but it also applies to math.
