@huhyouokay@TransAlt That’s only the 8th Av Section of the line (59 St-High St), there’s another phase that would go from High St to Euclid Av in Brooklyn.
@yoresociety@News12BX Actually, MTA has sold ad space on MetroCards for years, so in reality it’s the other way around. They’re making money off the ad space bought for it…
@Lirioroja@MatthewJRoth@MTA Let me rephrase, the Fare Cap is no longer on a static Monday to Sunday. It now counts from whatever day is the first time you happen to use it: https://t.co/tm8zNTDFBi
@roperfurley@MTA In order to use an OMNY Card in the first place, it has to be activated and that is by adding value. Which is only $1 minimum. The card without value wouldn’t function and you’d be unable to use it. If you want to use your benefit providers, you can buy it at the CVM.
@hold_th@Gothamist OMNY Vending Machines are for the sale and reload of OMNY Cards, those will replace the MVM’s in stations. Right now you can buy and reload OMNY Cards at retail locations. Open loop payment with a bank card or smart device is just an additional feature to allow flexibility.
@neovetements They are, OMNY Vending Machines are coming later this year, it has been clearly stated by MTA that MetroCard isn’t going anywhere until all the features from MetroCard have an equivalent with OMNY.
