I've been to HQ, Old Trafford, attended domestic incidents & concern for welfares, been to Magistrates Court, stood on cordons in the rain, checked passes at conferences, watched protestors and went into the Etihad with NATOs on.

It's been a fair old run. Day 9 of 9 done. 😂

@blahblaaahblaaa Apparently the sift is completely anonymised, even to the extent of redacting answers if required. So even questionable as it would be to embellish an application (certainly not in keeping with policing principles), I don't think it would have helped.

Didn't get through papersift for the latest round of RPU Sgt roles for the second year in a row.

Two current RPU Sgts and my own Inspector cast their eye on my application and after a bit of fettling all thought it was of a very high standard. But nope. /1

Do I bang applications in to everything, risk getting nothing, and maybe stumble across a great role?

Am I at the point where I've done all I can, I get some of my life back and let someone else have a go and I look outside of the job?

I've only applied for RPU twice and one other role in that two years. I'm at a loss. /4

My reply was that their heads would have well and truly wobbled submitting crime reports by fax! 🤣🤣
