It’s time to drop the pretense that the Democratic Party still has any genuine moderate base.
Today’s Democrats consist of Muslim men who insist America had 9/11 coming.
America has officially forgotten.
Hey @MarkLevineNYC according to information disseminated by your office there are still 28,145 illegal entrants to the US living in NYC taxpayer-funded accommodations.
Can you please provide these following metrics:
1. How many of these individuals have work authorization.
2. How much was spent by NYC taxpayers for this segment to obtain work authorization.
3. How many of these with work authorization are working
4. What is the average income for those that are working
🥄 SCOOP: University of Texas officials appear poised to ban bicycles, scooters and other micromobility devices from a large swath of central campus with little warning. Cycling advocates say that could pose serious safety and mobility challenges.

@Franklin18Ben@BillAckman@NYCMayor The ones who don't understand economics need only one simple lesson - "Whatever you pay for you get more of, whatever you penalize you get less of." If NYC pays vagrants it will get more of them. If NYC penalizes the wealthy it will get less of them. Common sense and irrefutable.
Was at a wedding over the weekend in Connecticut and met a youngish gay couple in finance who relocated from UWS to Miami two years ago.
They love it. They said it’s like NYC in the 90’s and oughts. Filled with growth, promise, and opportunity. Ken Griffin, the financial guy who Mamdani singled out as one of the villains not paying his “fair share” ( even though he donated hundreds of millions to New York City charities and has already paid millions and millions in taxes, not to mention all the working people he enriched along the way) is building the tallest tower in Miami that will be transformative to their economy.
They said young people are starting their careers in Finance in Miami now. It used to be NY. No more. The jobs are in Miami while NY is not growing the private sector jobs. It’s a big change from even 5 years ago.
The lack of private sector job growth is a huge problem. Mamdani has done nothing right to attack this problem. He cannot even admit there is a problem. Too busy trying to start the revolution.
I asked the couple how they felt about the governor of Florida . Remember he took heat for some anti LGBTQ+ stances a few years ago. Their response:
We love him. That was then this is now.
I am a diehard New Yorker. It is extremely sad to see our city go down like this. If Mamdani doesn’t change his tune soon and understand that the economy is everything in this City, and stop cosplaying mayor and trying to implement a socialist revolution, it will take decades to fix what he breaks. And maybe it will be too far gone to fix.
As for the pied -a -terre tax, what a massive blunder all around. @GovKathyHochul may view herself as a shoe in for reelection, so what does she care, but the harm and damage will be enormous. It will be on her , her legacy and the Dem party.
As for @NYCMayor : Amateur hour. Bad idea poorly executed. Forget about free bananas for now and focus on doing your job. And stop lying.

@NYCMayor $53M to have your face plastered in useless virtue signaling videos. Great job @GovKathyHochul - the @nycgov is truly a genius at spending our taxes w/ impunity!! Can’t wait to end your reign of terror in NOV!!
New York should be leading the way in terms of domestic manufacturing and job growth. We have the people, the capital, the resources, the unions.
But Kathy Hochul and Albany Democrats don’t want growth. They want dependence.
I would have to say after participating in the very informative @CB8M meeting on the empire bin rollout all I can say is the plan is a mess - no good plan to deal with: street cleaning, bike lanes, the trippling of sanitation truck trips locally, snow removal, parking, smell, etc
People still don’t seem to understand that Mamdani’s charisma/ability to drive eyeballs is going to become a liability for Democrats when his idiotic policies blow up spectacularly in the face of NYC.
They are too fixated on the sugar high.
Radical tenant activist Tracy Rosenthal and her allies targeted a landlord by crashing his daughter's wedding. Rosenthal said ruining the celebration was "really fun."
She recently appeared in a photo with Mamdani and has close ties to his administration.

All these countries dumped their wealth tax because they LOST revenue as the wealthy took their money elsewhere. And it’s a lot easier to move to another state than another country.
Capitalism runs on consent and needs nothing from you. Socialism runs on seized wealth and cannot leave producers alone. It has no fuel of its own. A system that must conscript its opponents is not an economy. It is a raid.
Without naming names, Mamdani also says: “There has been both a willful and an unintentional conflation of both the property tax roll and these letters” notifying people they may be subject to the new tax.
