The @LawSocietyofKe has secured conservatory orders suspending the punitive, arbitrary and illegal directive by the @CA_Kenya. The Authority must forthwith reinstate all signals it has shut down on account of their unconstitutional directive. Contempt of this order will be met with full prosecution of the leadership of CA.

The directive by the @CA_Kenya is an absolute nullity in law and an affront to fundamental rights espoused in and guaranteed by the Constitution. Our statutory institutions are established to facilitate the full realisation of our constitutional ethos, not to be conduits of obliterating the laws that make us a democratic society. We urge our media fraternity that they are under no obligation whatsoever to adhere to the distasteful and illegal directive by CA.

This morning, the legal fraternity mourns the loss of a distinguished member and beacon of excellence. Judy Thongori SC has been a monument of legal prowess and exemplified all the qualities of a professional North Star. Her noteworthy contributions to family law and human rights are timeless and continue to propagate a learning curve for many in the profession. The legacy she leaves behind will remain an indelible mark of her impact that lives on among us.

We condole with all her friends, family, colleagues, and the Senior Counsel Bar for this immense loss. We pray for divine comfort and healing as we contend with this unfortuitous news. May she rest in peace.

It is fundamental that the Sovereign people of Kenya exercise their right under Article 37 without fear of persecution or unwarranted acts of aggression. We call on the protestors to maintain peace and order as they agitate for the rights of all Kenyans. We urge all protestors to deny any malicious aggressors the opportunity to breach their enjoyment of rights.

We reiterate our stern warning to officers of the @NPSOfficial_KE across the country that acts of violence and arbitrariness will be met with strong opposition and personal legal consequences. We are taking a detailed record of all atrocities being perpetrated by officers contrary to their duty to protect all citizens and will commence necessary legal action against all officers identified acting unlawfully.
