Our Varsity team outlasted the Westminster Wildcats tonight in 8 innings and came away with a come-from-behind 5-4 victory with a walk-off single by @AubreyHeadd2028 in the bottom of the 8th.

With the game in doubt in the bottom of the 7th, Campbell was down to its last three outs when @HarperMac27 came to the plate and extended her current hitting streak by launching a ball over the centerfield fence to tie up the game at four runs apiece.

The Spartans hit well late in the game, amassing 13 total hits and four walks. @EvelynHsoftball , @AubreyHeadd2028 , and @2028cartersmith each collected three hits on the night and @GigiDenis2029 added a two hits, including a double in the third inning. @NadiaBarbour30 also singled and drove in a run.

@kendallabney11 was great in the circle, pitching all 8 innings for the Spartans and giving up only three earned runs. Abney struck out five Wildcat hitters and no earned runs came in during the last five innings of play.

@BewleyAidan13 added a diving catch in Right Field to seal the win in extra innings.

The Spartans open up conference play tomorrow evening at Kennesaw Mountain High School at 6pm.

Our Campbell JV Spartans sit undefeated at 2-0 after last night's defeat of the Walton Junior Varsity Raiders in a pitcher's duel between our freshman, @kendallabney11 , and Walton sophomore, Taylor Killimett.

Both teams were strong in the circle on Monday, but the Spartans defeated Walton Junior Varsity Raiders 3-1. Kendall Abney started the game for Campbell and went the distance, pitching all 7-innings. Abney struck out 10 batters on the day and gave up only one run off of six hits, while walking three.

Our Spartans got on the board in the top of the first inning after @NadiaBarbour30 tripled down the right field line, and grounded out, each scoring one run.

Taylor Killimett began the game for Walton Junior Varsity Raiders. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Madeline Tasker, Barbour, Turner, Ella Hammers, and Violet Chenot each collected one hit for Campbell JV Spartans. Barbour and Turner each drove in one run for Campbell JV Spartans. Our JV Spartans were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.

Our squad finished pool play undefeated and earns the #1 seed by outscoring opponents 45-17 maintaining a team BA of .470. Heading into the Gold Bracket on Friday at the Colorado Sparkler. Time to get back to work. 💙🥎
