@goodfoodgal People at small business and community levels are hurting. The divide between high wage earners in public sector, media and corporate and every day Aussies is huge. Calling people names by extension is not smart. People want a voice and I guess they feel Karl is that for many.
I think high wage earners in media, corporate and public sector including politicians are really put of touch of what's going on at small business and community levels. Potentially a huge disconnect. People are hurting and calling them names by association is not a smart plan IMO. Remember 2016.
@PaulineHansonOz 15pc gst at this point would be a hammer blow to small business. Hold prices and have margins squeezed further or raise prices and see volumes drop. That would be the choice for many. Average Aussies under enormous pressure these days.
Lower tax rates apply typically to less experienced workers and new entrants. CGT applies to investment where arguably there is much greater risk. If CGT "equals" top rate of income tax (and that makes it fair supposedly) then that doesn't seem right logically. It's backwards. It should be less tax to encourage you to invest.
