Forgive me. I’m going to try and be kind here. If I come off as rude please do not read it that way. I’m going to ask you to apply this logic to the save stargate movement here you are part of. Do we just want a stargate by anyone, plop the label on it and move forward or one by the original creators with the same themes and concepts?
So ridiculous. The word “veneration” comes from the Latin *venerationem* which means “reverence” or “profoundest respect”.
Even THAT word comes from *veneratio*, which means “showing devoted & deferential honor to”. In other words, NOT WORSHIP. 🧵
Last night, I joined 31 of my colleagues to STAND FIRM with President Trump in refusing to pass ANY SENATE BILLS until the SAVE America Act is passed.
That included voting NO on Elizabeth Warren’s housing package. It wasn't conservative enough, added more Washington involvement, and failed to address the spending crisis.
The American people demand the Senate be held ACCOUNTABLE!!
Tucker Carlson says that the Ottomans were very kind to Christians. Don't forget that 200 years ago, in Chios, 42,000 Greek Christians were massacred by the Muslim Turks and 52,000 were sold into slavery. It was a taste of their kindness.
Too many conservative Catholics let their understandable frustration over Pope Francis’s various problematic words and actions degenerate into disrespect for the person of the pope. And with some, this now seems to have evolved into a disrespect for the office of the papacy itself, which manifests in a knee-jerk “hermeneutics of suspicion” that is quick to put the worst spin on what Pope Leo says and does and freely to express criticism of him in a shockingly insolent manner. This is gravely sinful. While Pope Francis bears responsibility for damaging the prestige of the papal office, that gives no Catholic any excuse whatsoever for this bad behavior. As I have argued in several places, most of the criticism directed at Pope Leo is unjust, but even if it weren’t, no Catholic has the right to speak about him as if he were a mere politician or celebrity they dislike. In this short article from a few years back, I discuss Aquinas’s teaching that even a bad prelate has to be treated in a respectful manner, given the nature of his office: https://t.co/nTtei2nuV5
For those Evangelicals like Lizzie (@farmingandJesus) and Thomas (@BIG_SGT_D) who think this is Jesus, this is not Jesus. This is a Monstrance. You know it’s a Monstrance because it’s called a “Monstrance” in the description.
This is not Jesus.

I will never forget the day the World Trade Center was attacked. Never.
I jumped on that bus at 57th street, heading east to meet my friends at the restaurant, and the entire city had gone dead silent. Grown men and women were crying openly. I was hugging total strangers, people I’d never seen before and never saw again, clinging to each other like family because, in that moment, we were family. No words were needed. Our tears said everything. We understood in our bones what it meant to be American when evil tried to break us.
At the restaurant, we sang the national anthem over and over, voices cracking, eyes red, hearts shattered but still beating as one. Complete strangers linked arms, trying to figure out how to help, how to fight back, how to move forward through the smoke and the horror. That day, NYC wasn’t divided by neighborhoods or accents or politics. We were Americans, raw, fierce, and unbreakable. I have never seen such pure patriotism, such love for this country, in all my years.
And now, 25 years later, I wake up sick to my stomach after last night’s Democratic primary. My heart is breaking. The party I once believed in has been hijacked by anti-American scum. The city I loved, the city that embraced me, feels like it belongs to strangers who share nothing with the people I held on that bus.
NYC is not a melting pot. That’s a lie the Democratic machine keeps selling. It’s a fractured collection of foreign enclaves and entitled transplants living parallel lives, speaking different languages, obeying different rules, united by one poisonous thread: hatred for this country, its values, its traditions, its very existence. That’s how Mamdani became mayor. That’s why real Democrats are being purged from their own party. The Democratic Party is dead. What’s left is a Socialist Party wearing the old name like a cheap costume.
New York State is still American. But New York City? Not anymore.
Listen to me. I’m an immigrant who grew up under communism. I’ve seen this movie before. I know exactly where it ends: in chains, in poverty, in fear, in the slow death of freedom. I escaped that nightmare once. I will not watch my adopted home march blindly into it.
This is a wake-up call for every decent Democrat left, for every Republican, for every American who still loves this country. If we let this cancer spread, our children will never know the free America we fought for, cried for, and bled for. The radical left isn’t just wrong. They are the greatest domestic enemy this nation faces today.
I’m angry. I’m heartbroken. And I’m not shutting up.
America, wake the hell up before it’s too late.
This is a map of the countries with the most persecution of Christians. You may notice that *literally* every Muslim nation except Morocco is ranked between high and extreme levels of Christian persecution.
Incidentally, Israel isn't on the list of countries with Christian persecution.
Ottoman officials forcibly collected young boys from the empire’s Christian subjects as a form of taxation. They were then taken back to Istanbul, forcibly converted to Islam, and trained to be the sultan’s military slaves, the Janisseries.
Ottomans launched slaving raids into Slavic lands, taking 3-5.5 million Christians as slaves, and the Barbary Corsairs captured over 1 million Christians as slaves in Western and Southern Europe.
Weasel move to say that churches weren’t taxed when all Christians had to pay a heavy Jizya tax, and no new churches were allowed to be constructed, and Christians had no legal rights in courts against Muslims who wronged them.
