Hardiness is a psychological trait that can be developed. It has 3 prongs:
1) Commitment: Accept situation. Don't turn away, lean in.
2) Control: Figure out what you can do. Take productive action.
3) Challenge: View life as an ongoing process in which change is inevitable.
