On the behalf of everyone who has mourned a man they never met… thank you Candace for a proper memorial eulogizing Charlie.

In her own words, she read from her journals and allowed us into her memories and thoughts, continuing to show us who Charlie really was.

What I’ve come to realize is we still haven’t gotten that vulnerability and authenticity from anyone else. We needed it but she is the only one who provided it as painful as it was.

Like from a year ago, she gave a beautiful tribute to the man whom all of us grew to love and admire.

They came up together.
They didn’t say “the rest is history.”
They said “the rest is future.”

She called him her best friend and her brother. She said there is no Candace without Charlie.

Does any of that sound like someone who hated him?

Where do we go from here?

I think that’s for us to decide.

Charlie himself taught us to keep asking questions. He taught us that this movement isn’t about left versus right. Conservative vs liberal. That this movement is about all of us against them. Most of all Charlie taught us to not back down from our faith in Christ. That it is the most important thing in life.

I pray we remember that and continue to pray for our enemies and pray those who persecute us.

Thanks again Candace. We stand with you. We grieve with you. And we will continue to go max along side you. May God continue to bless you and your family ✝️🙏🏼❤️

We could all do more to make our social network a less toxic place for our mental health, imagine if we all modeled a better way to use these spaces for the youth. Why wait for the gov to do something when we can just have restraint and be kind above all else?

Wow, plugging back in to a lot of creator drama this morning...

I have enjoyed a good relationship with just about everyone, and plan for this to continue. Even those who disagree with me.

I don't consider another to be suspicious because they have an opinion that differs from mine. In fact, I think it's incredibly important to keep communication flowing despite the disagreements.

I have no blacklist, I truly enjoy listening to the arguments and watching all sides. However, when it goes beyond the arguments and ideas, and we degenerate into personal attacks, accusations, threats of lawfare, doxxing, attention seeking behavior, etc. we turn in the opposite direction of a good faith pursuit of the truth. It doesn't create a better world.

Here is a quote I've been reflecting on a lot recently, "For this world of ours to set its course in a Christian direction - which is the only one worthwhile - we have to exercise a loyal friendship with all men, based on a prior loyal friendship with God."

As for me, I'm going to try and stick to that standard written by St Jose Escriva.

What the hell are we doing?

H.R. 4795, the Protect Economic and Academic Freedom Act, is moving through Congress right now. It would make colleges that participate in certain commercial boycotts of Israel ineligible for major federal higher education funding.

And who can end up paying the price for that? American students who rely on Pell Grants and veterans who rely on federal education benefits.

Over a boycott involving a FOREIGN COUNTRY.

We can boycott Bud Light. We can boycott Target. We can boycott Disney, Nike, Walmart or any other American company we disagree with. Conservatives have done it for years. But suddenly when the boycott involves Israel, the federal government needs to step in and start threatening funding?

Why?

And maybe this is what is really getting under my skin lately. Why does it feel like everything in Washington revolves around Israel?

I voted for America First. I meant AMERICA FIRST.

I don't care about Israel's feelings about an American boycott. I care about Americans. I care about our students, our veterans, our rights and our Constitution.

I don't have to support BDS to defend someone's right to boycott. That's the whole damn point of the First Amendment. It protects speech and political expression even when you hate it.

We spent years fighting government censorship and screaming about the weaponization of federal power. We don't get to suddenly decide it's okay when the government is using that power for something we agree with.

Stop putting Americans in the crossfire to protect a foreign country from criticism.

American students first!
American veterans first!
American rights first!
American ranchers first!
American employees first!

THAT is America First.
