@cmkusher Why does everyone assume the cost of building a new home is fixed? Building sub contractors earn far higher than award wages and would likely reduce their prices if their was a large downturn in construction. Prices don't always go up.

@DrCameronMurray Housing is a consumer good and like all other consumer goods, paying less for shelter leaves more money to purchase other consumer goods to increase your living standard. Houses naturally depreciate without governments intentionally setting policies to manipulate the market.

@TMFScottP Premeditation isn't necessary for a lie. Making a commitment that you are indifferent about honouring is a lie. When you make a commitment you are saying you will actively make an effort to keep it and will break it as a last resort.
