@crypt0_d3v @elonmusk@bryan_johnson Standard Time destroys mental health, social health, reduces time spent in the community, and negatively impacts locally owned small businesses, hurting economic health.
Oh, and it makes it a lot less likely people will exercise.
But other than all that, ST is healthy
@nikol84312508@elonmusk Morning light stinks!!! Clearly, most people want light to spend with family and friends after work and school. Standard Time is AWFUL.
@PhonseWilson@elonmusk The '74 argument is so old and tired 😫
A lot has changed in life and lifestyles since then.
We live on DST for nearly 8 months a year.
People LOVE IT.
Schools use to start at 740. Now they start at 9 am.
Try again.
@VTCCHokie81@elonmusk A LOT has changed in the last 50 years.
Schools used to start at 730, now they start close to 9 am.
The '74 argument is old and tired.
@wesderby@elonmusk Who cares when it rises as long as we get to spend quality daylight hours with our friends and family after work and school responsibilities are over with? No one I know.
@Anthony08234207 @elonmusk Schools start SUBSTANTIALLY later than they did in the 1970's.
There's really no comparison.
They used to start around 730. Now they start around 9 am.
This argument does stand up anymore.
@mr_jay_pea@rhazel64@elonmusk Hey Jay, when you make your life's work taking away daylight from hard-working people and placing it between 420 am and 620 am, where they'll never use it, you know you've lost your way.
The people are against you.
They know what they want.
You're going to lose.
@rhazel64@elonmusk No, we know Daylight Saving Time doesn't produce MORE light, but it sure does produce a lot more USEFUL Daylight for when most people want it most, after work and school.
DST is the best no matter when it is...
@StephenSayler@elonmusk Standard Time does not align with how people LIVE and want to LIVE healthy, active, social, lives in modern society. Of what use is daylight at 430 am for MOST people????
