@WetGrunts@charlesharriso5 People like you are the problem, as all you do is criticize those who are making a difference in these teenagers' lives. Doing something to help is always better than doing nothing but criticizing.
@city_coalition@WetGrunts@charlesharriso5 The Indianapolis chapter of TenPoint's model to curb youth violence reflects what anti-violence groups nationwide are doing. This approach is regarded as best practice.
@charlesharriso5 The TenPoint model did not originate in Indianapolis but was initiated by a group of black clergy in Boston. This approach to reducing youth violence is now implemented in cities nationwide under various names. The achievements of TenPoint in Indy deserve praise, not criticism.
@hopeXmeta @rigobear72 The Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition is one of the leading faith-based groups in America working to reduce urban youth violence among Black males aged 12-24. They have had remarkable success over their twenty-seven-year history in curbing youth violence in high-crime areas.

**Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition Update - Day 355 of 2025**
This update highlights our ongoing efforts to reduce urban youth violence among young men of color aged 12 to 24 in the 11 hotspot patrol areas. Our mission is to keep these young men safe, out of prison, and on a path to success. On January 1, 2026, the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition will be in our 27th year as a faith-based organization of black churches, with the mission to help curb the pattern of urban youth violence that disproportionately affects black males ages 12-24. Sadly, almost half of the deaths among black males ages 15-24 are premature, due to homicide. Urban youth violence, driven by black-on-black violence, is a national epidemic that we must address by rebuilding the black family, especially in single-parent households, which lead to higher levels of poverty and dependence on government assistance for survival. There needs to be a national focus on restoring fatherhood in the household, so fathers can serve as positive role models for their sons and daughters. We must address the root causes that are leading too many juveniles down the wrong path in life, into the underground economy of drug trafficking and criminal activity. Though we do not proselytize on the streets, we engage at-risk youth in high-crime areas and believe in more God, less crime. The Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition OGs build positive relationships with at-risk youth on the streets and share their faith stories as one crucial piece that helped them turn their lives around from crime and prison to live everyday lives, and are now on a pathway of success. Like all young people, these at-risk youth in high-crime areas just need love and to know that people care about them to help restore hope in their lives and put them on a different, better path. This is what we strive to do every day as the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition in the hotspot areas we patrol: save lives. #ResultsMatter #SavingLivesMatter #WorkingTogetherWorks
They called me the crime-fighting pastor. For 32 years, I have served as the senior pastor of Barnes United Methodist Church. I preach from the pulpit on Sunday mornings, and several nights a week, I am out in the streets with the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition, a faith-based organization dedicated to maintaining peace and saving lives. I aim to spread the love of Christ by caring for others and making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
I was out with one of the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition patrol teams on the west side, and it was busy tonight. I saw IMPD surround a vehicle with four or five cars and detain a young Black male near 38th and MLK. I also witnessed a police chase that passed us at 38th and Capitol, with many police cars involved. The underground economy was active tonight, with drug trafficking and trap houses. We talked to a few people who shared interesting information. This was just a typical night in the hood, with all the challenges of maintaining peace.

@city_coalition@ebwhite99@charlesharriso5 Over 27 years of collaboration with law enforcement and community stakeholders, their patrol area has gone 80 an entire year without a youth murder. The current mayor of Indianapolis is not utilizing the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition in the same manner as previous mayors did.
@city_coalition@ebwhite99@charlesharriso5 The power of presence on the streets and building relationships with black and brown youth is the key to violence reduction in neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by violence. Rev Harrison and Indy 10 Point does it as well as any group in the country.
