Lets Abimelec Ortiz get reps at 1st base and see if he’s a part of the future. Then Andrew Alvarez/Jackson Kent/Luis Perales, maybe even Cornelio as SP.

Starting to think the Nats trade Luis Garcia at the deadline. Valueable contact bat who is now a right side of the infield utility piece.

Has some value for a contender and no future in DC. Think we could flip him for an orgs 10-15th prospect and another depth piece.

No disrespect to anyone covering the Nats. But I can’t help but feel there could be improved reporting of injuries.

Susana, Sykora, Hertz could very legitimately make up 3/5 rotation spots next August and yet very little on their progress back from injuries until hertz today.

First start in full season ball for Marlon De La Cruz in Fredericksburg tonight.

Has dealt in the FCL this year 12IP, 12ks, with a 0.75ERA and 1.08WHIP, although he’s already 20.

Will be fun to see how he throws and have a new name to track if he keeps up the pace!

He would be huge for this rotation, im a big believer in his long term future as a good #3 in a playoff rotation. Maybe a slightly worse Gio comp.

Abimelec Ortiz is starting to become very underrated. For the first time I’m actually really excited about him. OPS >1.000 over his last 30 games and 1.500 for his last 10.

Very manageable K-rate (<20%) recently.

He should be up on Monday as our everyday DH against RHP.

Man he has physically matured so much since we acquired him. Easy to forget how young some of these guys are and the physical projection that comes alongside it. Would slot him in my t30 today.

BREAKING: Santiago (Ca.) RHP Striker Pence announces on Instagram he is reclassifying to 2027. Formerly the No. 1 RHP in the 2028 class.

Pence is up to 101 MPH with a mid-80s slider and a splitter that flashes big upside.

He will 18.2 years old for the Draft.

Can’t help but root really hard for Orlando Ribalta. Seems like a great guy and an impressive story.

His development has been beyond big for this team as well. Easily one of my favorite Nats.
