📣 Community Survey Now Open
Fort Bend ISD is seeking community input on proposed middle and high school attendance boundary scenarios for the 2027–28 school year.
Since the spring, the district and the School Boundary Advisory Committee (SBAC) have been reviewing options designed to:
- Strengthen feeder pattern alignment
- Address overutilization at Austin, Elkins, and Travis High Schools
Now, we want to hear from you! Your feedback will help inform the next steps in the secondary boundary planning process.
- FBISD parents listed as the Primary Parent in Skyward should have received a direct email from [email protected]. Please check your junk and/or SPAM folders.
- FBISD staff members also received a direct email from [email protected] to their work emails.

Timely antibiotics and source control are important – but dramatically less critically important unless critically unwell.
Observational studies finding associations with time-to-antibiotics and mortality are frequently systematically biased:

You are in a busy community ED, getting your 🍑 kicked trying to drink from a firehose. You have a patient in septic shock. In addition to fluids, you are giving peripheral vasopressors.
Do you *actually* need to start an arterial line, or can you get by with cuff measurements?
A prospective observational study published last week of 1852 critically ill adults says yes. There was a mean difference of 6mmHg between the cuff estimated MAP and the A-line. Things that threw off the measurements:
-Very low MAPs
-Higher BMI
-Advanced age

I am an emergency physician at Parkland Hospital, the busiest emergency department in the country. I have had ZERO physical assaults by patients on any ED healthcare workers in SEVEN YEARS while I was working. It CAN be done and is NOT part of the job. https://t.co/9eVTHj6NnF
