Moments ago, CENTCOM forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones that were launched toward the Strait of Hormuz. The attack drones posed an immediate threat to regional maritime traffic. U.S. forces subsequently struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island to defend against further attacks.

American forces remain vigilant and postured to respond to unjustified Iranian aggression in self-defense.

Yesterday, I received a report on the losses of your army on the front in Ukraine during May. Once again, the number exceeded 30,000 Russian soldiers killed and seriously wounded. We have been maintaining that level month after month, and we have video confirmation of every one of your losses — these are not empty claims.
We know that 63 percent of your battlefield losses are killed, while only 37 percent are wounded. In the 21st century, no army can afford such a ratio. And the share of those killed will continue to grow.
It is not as if we in Ukraine are concerned about the fate of Russian soldiers after everything your war has brought to our country.

🚨 Iran: At Least 18 Executions Reported in Two Days, Including One Public Hanging

Iran’s execution campaign continued on June 1–2, with reports indicating that at least 18 prisoners were executed across the country.

Twelve executions were reported on June 1 in Zanjan, Arak, and Shiraz, while six more were carried out on June 2, including the previously announced executions of two protesters. Among those executed was Behnam Nemati, 38, who was publicly hanged in Rasht. Other reported victims included Parviz Valizadeh, Aslan Amiri, Morteza Sadeghzadeh, Hassan Tahmasbi, and Kouhyar Abbasi.

Ali Younesi, an imprisoned elite student and political prisoner held in Ghezel Hesar Prison, has responded to the misuse of his name and image by supporters of the former Shah’s regime.
Here is a letter he wrote from prison.

Background: Ali Younesi is a former computer engineering student at Sharif University of Technology and is widely regarded as one of Iran’s most accomplished young academic talents. In 2018, he won a gold medal at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics in China, having previously earned both silver and gold medals in Iran’s National Astronomy Olympiad.

He was arrested in April 2020 and was reportedly brought home with visible injuries following his detention. His family was also subjected to pressure and interrogation. Iranian judicial authorities later accused him and Amir Hossein Moradi, another outstanding student at Sharif University, of having links to the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
