Una crítica clásica de los liberales a la planificación estatal es que es imposible conocer de antemano la demanda de "calcetines".

Sin embargo, empresas como Amazon hoy te hacen predicciones a un 5-10% de margen de error sobre la demanda de todos sus productos a una semana vista. Calculan el stock y las rutas más rápidas a partir de predicciones de lo que la gente va a demandar con una precisión sorprendentemente ajustada a la realidad.

Claro que siempre se pudo calcular la demanda de diferentes productos. De hecho, hoy hay un puñado de mega-empresas que planifican realmente el conjunto de la economía.
