I'm not sure Schwensteiger knows there's a woman somewhere in the UK who started supporting Bayern Munich because of him.

I met a woman through my workplace partnerships and in a meeting, I saw that she drank tea from a Bayern Munich teacup. I asked her if she supports Bayern Munich, and if she has German roots or links, and she said she doesn't.

She went on to narrate how she became a Bayern Munich fan at the 2010 World Cup when Germany during one of Germany’s games.

She said Schwensteiger stood out for her in the game and she went on to search for who he was. She discovered he played for Bayern Munich and that's how she became a Bayern Munich supporter.
