Once through with the basics, he or she should invest in further knowledge and skills. This will increase the capacity to earn more.
Next, improving parents and siblings' situations - ensure parents are enrolled in NHIF. Medical expenses are recurrent in old age. Support siblings through school or college.
Finally, two other important areas to consider are:
Social capital - building lasting friendships that would help at times of need.
Financial capital - building assets for passive income and future stability.
