🌍 Marking Earth Hour with Action! 🌱
On 26th March 2026, we joined @mtnfoundationug and partners to commission a 12.4‑acre woodlot at St. Joseph Vocational Institute in Kikuube District.
Students, volunteers, and community members united to restore the local ecosystem and advance environmental sustainability.
This initiative reflects the Uganda Red Cross Society’s mission of building resilient communities and disaster preparedness, while also supporting MTN Foundation’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship. By combining efforts and expertise, the collaboration promotes practical climate action, strengthens local ecosystems, and fosters long-term community resilience.
Together, we’re creating a greener, stronger future for all. 🌱

Every Second Counts — Help Us Save Lives! 🚨
When accidents strike across Uganda, the Uganda Red Cross Society is always first on the scene , running towards danger to save lives. Our emergency teams work day and night, anywhere and everywhere, to reach accident victims and give them the urgent care they need.
But saving lives takes more than courage; It takes resources.
We urgently need medical supplies, stretchers, gloves, bandages and even fuel for our ambulances to ensure we can reach every victim in time.
Your donation can help us save a life today. With your support, we can keep our ambulances running, our responders equipped, and our communities safe. No one should lose their life because help couldn’t arrive fast enough.
👉 Donate today and stand with the Uganda Red Cross in our mission to save lives anytime, anywhere.

Boda bodas are often the first to arrive at crash scenes, says Ofwono. “Their intentions are good, but without proper skills, lives can be lost due to mishandling.”
Red Cross now trains them as first responders—leveraging their availability and mobility

We supported 80 families in Kisaaba, Namagabi A & B, Kayunga District with Non-Food Item kits following the April 23rd hailstorm.
The storm left over 90 homes damaged, crops destroyed, and 21 people injured.
During the distribution held in Kisaaba, each of the most vulnerable families received blankets, sleeping mats, tarpaulins, solar lamps, kitchen sets, soap, and mosquito nets to support their recovery with dignity.
The handover was witnessed by Kayunga District Chairperson LCV Andrew Muwonge, Deputy RDC, and members of the District Disaster Management Committee.
