Economic and commercial diplomacy is the focus of our diplomatic efforts. By 2030, our target was to double the current trade ( € 2.1 Billion) and FDI ( $ 1 Billion) volume with the United Kingdom. Today's UK - Kenya Business Forum provided actionable pathways to achieve the target. It was a fulfilling and pleasant Mazingira Day, as we planted trees at Mbwajumwali Primary School, in Faza Ward, Lamu County.

Leading my State Department of Investment Promotion staff and Lamu East community, I also educated the community on the importance of tree planting as I engaged the youth on the available growth opportunities, especially the current NYOTA programme.

As global economic dynamics shift, Kenya is fast becoming a prime destination for global investors, with SEZs like Tatu City offering a ready-made platform for business growth.

I visited Tatu City this afternoon and was struck by the scale of operations and the thousands of jobs already created for Kenyans. The city now hosts over 100 companies and welcomes 25,000 people daily who live, work, and study within its vibrant ecosystem.

I was Joined by Stephen Jennings, Founder and CEO of Rendeavour, PS Investment Abubakar Hassan, SEZA Board Chair Fred Muteti, CEO Kenneth Chelule, and KenInvest CEO John Mwendwa. We reaffirmed our commitment to driving pro-investment reforms and building sustainable economic hubs.

Check your facts correctly. Check UNCTAD report 2023 and read report carefully. What your projecting is after CBK FDI survey was done to confirm the UNCTAD estimates. After survey it moved from 750 M to 1.5 B in 2022. And in 2023 CBK FDI survey shows 2B in 2023. CBK FDI survey for 2024 is yet to be released. Kindly Come to my state department for more information, clarification and more sensitization on how to read and analyze investment reports.
