I am pleased to share that I have a solo exhibition of my artwork from my Cajal Inventory series in the West Alcove Gallery at the NIH, Clinical Center. The exhibition opened on January 13, 2025; will run through April 5, 2025. Exhibition Overview: This exhibition features my artwork that depicts aspects of Santiago Ramón y Cajal’s scientific research. Cajal is considered by many to be the father of modern neuroscience. Through a series of ink media drawings, I illustrate and reinterprets Cajal’s scientific illustrations. The process examines his process through the act of drawing, and by doing so I have gained historical insight; he did not always sketch his work in pencil prior to using ink. His level of competence and rigor enabled him to execute his work in ink without sketching in pencil first.
