You have self-diagnosed yourself as golf’s moral adjudicator, then consistency is the entry fee. You’ve spent years sermonising about “blood money” and demanding players account for who funds what. Yet when scrutiny lands on the DP World Tour’s ecosystem, specifically the reporting around DP World leadership and Epstein-related emails, followed by Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem stepping aside , your microphone suddenly develops a fault, and it cuts to a commercial break. Sound familiar? That story has been covered by major outlets, with the necessary caveat that there’s no public allegation he participated in Epstein’s crimes. But it is, undeniably, a “who are you in business with?” question. The very question you insist is non-negotiable when it’s LIV.

And then there’s Anthony Kim, the one LIV story that wrecks your favourite caricature. A player with a messy history, a long disappearance, a public rebuild, relegation pressure, and then a win in Adelaide. If LIV is “no meaning, no depth,” explain why Kim’s comeback resonates so widely and why the competitive jeopardy was real. You don’t have to clap for the league, but pretending the narrative doesn’t exist because it’s inconvenient is exactly the sort of selective vision you accuse others of.

So spare everyone the luxuriant vocabulary and the moral absolutism unless you’re prepared to apply it across the board. Either you’re a principled critic of golf’s money, all of it, everywhere. As we know, you’re a PGA Tour partisan who dresses preference up as philosophy, and are blind to any different philosophy.
Right now, the tell isn’t your intelligence shrouded in a sheer lack of emotional awareness. It’s your silence.
