Solving policy challenges with legislative expertise, strategic communications, and coalition building. Former U.S. House staffer. Senior Fellow @aftfuture
One underappreciated aspect of AI writing tools: they can help people who have thoughtful ideas but struggle to express them clearly.
These tools can help translate existing thought into clearer language.
That makes the exchange of ideas richer, broader, and more diverse.
AI will boost entrepreneurship and jobs! Thanks to AI, small businesses will become midsize and large businesses. Thousands of new small businesses will also get their start because of AI. Great flag, @AdamThierer
how AI empowers small businesses π
"AI is coming to small business, helping companies to organize supply chains, plan production and execute other functions in ways that only multibillion-dollar enterprises were once able to afford."

When @SayreEvan and @NathanLeamerDC share similar views on data centers, pay attention. They know what they are posting about. Data centers help drive the economy.
These are important points from @NathanLeamerDC to consider in the AI discourse. Whatever your thoughts on data centers are, they are necessary for a wide range of Internet services and the massive buildout of them is a jolt for construction crews, electricians, etc.
C3βs President, Nick Loris, spoke before the Senate committee on Environment and Public Works today on the need for more nuclear power and ways we can streamline the process to make building it more affordable.
Public backlash against data centers are driven in part from concerns based on bad information out there like water usage or impact on energy prices.
With increases in demand, the solution shouldnβt be to constrain that demand, but to expand supply!
Itβs time to build!
Folks, this is a terrific resource! AI is having positive, life changing impacts in so many areas, particularly health care. Hard to believe we are still in moment one of the AI revolution. Letβs not stop the next medical cure or stifle new small businesses with reactionary AI laws.
The anti-AI discourse is so stressful for me.
AI is doing amazing things. Saved my butt (and brain) medically when I couldn't think (literally).
Does other great things in my life and work.
And so much more.

No AI data center is worth losing this.
And guess what?
There's no choice between them! We get to have both!
Data centers in no way infringe on this nature.
A masterclass by @PatrickMcHenry on the current state of play on AI issues, all in under a minute and a half. A reminder of what made him a great chairman in the House.
Great to join @CNN to discuss how the U.S. can be the world leader in AI.
It will require real leadership in chip & energy development, but also the right policy environment to help this industry responsibly grow.
This can be the future if we are bold enough to create a national framework to make this happen. AI is going to transform our health and democratize health care in ways that will benefit patients.
Thank you @WNGdotorg for letting me share how Trump's AI framework is a thoughtful approach to enable AI innovation while also protecting children and communities.
Now it's Congress's turn to answer the bell!
My chat with @RepBice, who chairs CHA's Modernization Subcommittee.
"Weβre not often covered in national news publications. Weβre sort of flying under the radar. But what I would tell you is that weβre making a difference for the House."

.@HouseCommerce continues to do the important and hard work in understanding and shaping what the future of AI will be in the United States. This is what significant committee work and commitment to policy looks and sounds like. ‡οΈ
Meeting the rapidly growing electricity demand for data centers to win the AI race necessitates building out our energy infrastructure.
Watch Chairman @BobLatta question today's witnesses on how we can build out this infrastructure while protecting America's ratepayers.
Today I'm launching AI Policy Hub, a project I've been working on and developing the last couple months.
While I have plans for other pages in the future, it currently features
- A state AI bill tracker that automatically updates every Monday
- A federal AI bill tracker that also updates every Monday
- A list of major government actions on AI
- A curated list of FRED charts that are important for understanding AI's economic impacts
- A economic trends page built on my testimony to the JEC, describing what's happening accorrding to the data; and
- A narrative description of my AI work
This is a working project, so please send me ideas for additions or changes!
The page is here: https://t.co/Z56upt2LhZ

Congratulations to you @JuanMLondonoR and to @CatoInstitute. One of the best working for one of the best. Cato has an outstanding team that just got even better!
Iβm extremely happy to announce that I will be reuniting with my friend and mentor @jrhuddles, and the wonderful tech policy team at the @CatoInstitute.
My research will remain pretty much the same: AI, emergent tech, antitrust, free speech, and other tech issues.
Bringing over three decades of digital policy experience, FIRE is proud to welcome @AdamThierer as our latest senior fellow.
