@FreightAlley I've owned three Rubicons - a TJ, a JKU, and a JLU. You are buying a tradeoff in all areas for off-road capability. My disappointment is the JLU can have literally everything (incl. 4x4!) disabled with a pothole strike that shakes brake dust onto the wheel sensor.
@dieworkwear I migrated from Silicon Valley tech to Central CA farming and the dress "uniforms" are awful. Jeans and a shirt that looks like a picnic table. Everything I wear is functional but seems like a step down from pajamas.
@texasrunnerDFW@realEstateTrent Counterpoint - we have a teenage waterpolo athlete who wants to use creatine, protein shakes, etc. As parents - our response - finish your dinner, get seconds...
@MCCCANM I can't quite figure how the jets were pinned - had to watch the vid several times - looks like the trailing aircraft made contact with the forward Hornet's starboard vertical stab - best I can figure that enough structure punctured the underside of the trailing Hornet and held.
@BellaWallerstei I am in the same nomadic situation here in the US. Sensible approaches on so many things are trampled by polarization/tribalism. Difficult to build centrist coalitions on anything.
@BuzzPatterson@xAviation One of the most thrilling landings I've ever had is being sequenced (in a Saratoga) between two SWA 737s at KSAN. Delays for departure however, mean I used KSEE or KMYF instead now.
@SteveNomadic@SetantaADV I agree about the 750, have that experience in any turbulence. Have a smaller GNX375 in my Cherokee and you can accomplish almost everything with the concentric knobs. Same with Dynon Skyview - don't have to use the touch screen if you don't want.
@jadamzs That's awesome! Spent some TDY at TSTC while on the SOFIA program a million years ago. Always interesting stuff coming through - got to see GWB/AF1 departure once.
@PIC_Colleen If/when you get back also recommend the shrimp/grits, and flash-fried flounder! When I lived there I worked about 3 blocks from the @airandspace Museum and it will never not be my favorite museum in the universe.
