Did Somnia kill their own project and platform with this decision? Most likely, yes.

I don't see them coming back from this, they would have needed the support from the community with their new route.

It depends. Airdrop should be viewed as a bonus when it’s a surprise from the team, claimable or sent directly to the wallet without any prior announcement. But if on the other hand it’s announced, pushed, hyped and events with rewards created around it that will matter to the size of the received airdrop, we can’t really see it as a bonus anymore can we?

”free money” right, not as this have been planned for quite some time now with chest rewards etc, and even before that when OS announced $SEA. Where people spend thousands of dollars specifically for this promised event, to gain volume and increase their allocation etc, but yes free money 👍🏼
