that would scribe my tale,
and I promised to write stories that would counter domination
and leave blank pages for others like me to author their own inscriptions,
To ink their voices in canons of truth…

I try to find myself between the lines;
not text, but subtext.
Small and uncomprehended,
I am attached at the base of the words meant to describe me to the world.
I am an addendum to myself…
fragmented addition to the story of me.
