This Morning, I was honoured to join Rt. Hon. Deputy Speaker @Thomas_Tayebwa for the #WalkAgainstMalaria, to raise awareness and take a stand against a disease that continues to claim too many lives; especially among children and vulnerable communities.
Walking along fellow advocates, reminded me that together we can make malaria history.

I am alerting and requesting all the NRM members to go to the village centres in their respective local areas by 10am on Tuesday the 6th of May, 2025, to do two things:
1. Take part in the baraza that will verify the members of the NRM that have been registered in the NRM registers;
2. Take part in the elections of the NRM LCI flag-bearer for LCI chairmanship and also elect the village NRM structures.
The two activities – register verification and electing LCI NRM flag-bearers and the NRM structures-should strictly take place between 10am and 2pm. The NRM Electoral commission will give you the details.

In preparing for, and pursuing a legal career, one encounters many cases that are so sad that their impact is simply indescribable. This is one of those.
Today we honor the hands and hearts that are the engine of every home, every city, every moment that works.
May this #LabourDay2025 be a reminder to us all;
If you're working, you're building the world.
"All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence." - Martin Luther King Jr.
Happy Labour Day.

My Good Friday Message to the People of Eastern Uganda and All Ugandans.
Today, as we mark Good Friday, I extend my heartfelt wishes to the people of Eastern Uganda and to all Ugandans. This day reminds us of the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ - a symbol of love, forgiveness, and unshakable hope.
Good Friday is not just a religious observance - it is a moment to reflect on life, on kindness, and the importance of looking out for one another. Even in hard times, there is always hope for a better tomorrow. Jesus gave His life for others, and we too must live with compassion and care for those around us.
Hello, X family. I’m David Calvin Echodu — journalist, social entrepreneur, community development advocate and politician.
Recently, I announced my intention to vie for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson, Eastern Region.
Let me share why.
This decision was made from a deep belief and conviction that the Eastern Region deserves bold, people-centered leadership — leadership that listens, acts, and delivers.
As someone who has worked at the grassroots — telling the stories of our people and building solutions from the ground up — I’ve seen first-hand what’s possible when we center communities in decision-making.
Earlier, I handed over kits for Kabaka's Birthday Run (tomorrow) worth 10m/- to David Echodu, aspiring Vice Chair NRM (Eastern). He came with former Ugandan ambassador to Nigeria, Nelson Ocheger.
I said that unity for Uganda can be realised by being just and truthful towards communities; and by being respectful to, and as we learn from, one another.
I thank them for joining the fight against HIV/AIDS.
