If you have the right to vote and choose not to, you forfeit the right to complain when living costs rise and national security deteriorates. This election is no longer about East or West. It is about whether Armenia remains a viable state or ceases to exist as one.
Two days. One number. 17.
June 7 is not just an election — it is a reckoning. The Armenian people have earned the right to demand accountability, to demand sovereignty, to demand a government that does not negotiate away their homeland piece by piece.
The Hayastan Alliance is that demand made into a vote.
#17 on June 7. Միասին կարող ենք։
Secretary Rubio took the time to endorse the re-election of Nikol Pashinyan, but not to raise issues of urgent concern to American citizens of Armenian heritage:
- Freeing illegally held Armenian hostages (Baku)
- Returning ethnically-cleansed Artsakh refugees
- Releasing jailed Armenian archbishops (Yerevan)
- Ending Azerbaijani occupation of Armenian land
- Reaffirming US Armenian Genocide recognition
- Protecting Armenian Christian sites in Artsakh
A picture of a honor and a picture of failure.
The honorable man is in a Baku jail cell. The failure is the Prime Minister of Armenia. Let that marinate in our brains.
Open letter
Dear Secretary of State Rubio: @SecRubio
Welcome to Armenia.
I want to congratulate you on the upcoming signing of the TRIPP agreement between Armenia and the United States. I fully support the TRIPP project, and as our next Prime Minister, I will work closely with your administration to have it come to fruition.
I am also writing to you about a few issues that are important to all Armenians citizens you should be aware of. Just as President Trump called President Biden sad, weak and dumb, I echo these sentiments for Prime Minister Pashinyan who is too sad, weak and dumb to raise these critical matters with you. The reality is that in order to make the TRIPP project a success, Azerbaijan needs to end the occupation of Armenia by withdrawing from our territories and to release our hostages from Baku.
I look forward to working with you on achieving these objectives and taking all necessary steps to establish long-term peace in the region.
Sincerely
Arman Tatoyan
Candidate for Prime Minister of Armenia
Western governments are closing their eyes to Armenian prime minister Nikol Pashinyan's increasingly autocratic repression ahead of June 7 elections because he claims to be abandoning an alliance with Russia and moving toward the West. https://t.co/sEtE7qHAbR
Nikolakans demand revenge, reparations, restitution, confiscations, and justice against the “nakhkins,” the church, and the billionaires. They are the true revanchists.
Just please don’t misunderstand what kind of revanchism this is. Not against the Turks or Azeris who genocided Armenians, occupied lands, and erased Armenian history and culture. That kind of revanchism is suddenly “backwards.”
Revanchism against fellow Armenians? Heroic. Revanchism against foreign enemies? Too extreme.
Pashinyan doesn’t stay in power because everyone supports him.
He stays in power when people stay home.
You don’t need the perfect candidate.
You just need to vote.
Because not voting is still a decision.
June 7.
Show up.
Vote.
