I really wish BBC and others would stop referring to tax as a 'burden'. It's our contribution to a good society.
If we don't fund critical NHS/social care/public services thru the state, we have to fund things privately/ buy them in the market. And this costs us more. #bbcaq
Laura Kuenssberg says hindsight is a wonderful thing in response to her panel saying people including Michelle Mone, shouldn’t have set out to profit from ppe in the pandemic.
Since when does anyone need hindsight to know that obscene profiteering is wrong?
Yvette Cooper reminds us we need ‘to get rid of the Conservatives where everything feels broken across the country.’
Laura Kuenssberg interrupts with ‘Ok, Ok well there are PLENTY of people who disagree!’
BBC’s meant to be impartial. It’s definitely not with #BBCLauraK
This morning Laura Kuenssberg accused Humza Yousaf of misleading people
A reminder that LK didn't just mislead people about something Corbyn once said, she deliberately lied in order to make it appear he'd said something he hadn't. The fact she wasn't sacked for that says it all

BBC impartiality:
Laura Kuenssberg ends interview with Yvette Cooper "Lots of people will disagree with you".
Laura Kuenssberg ends interview with David Cameron "It's good to have you back".
On Sunday Laura Kuenssberg accused Humza Yousaf of misleading people and said to Yvette Cooper "that many people watching may disagree". That's not her role as an interviewer, and that is a much clearer indicator of bias than the Tories are talking about. She is unfit for purpose!
"I was a skilled steel worker.
Now I'm delivering parcels for minimum wage, self employed, no rights.
It stinks.
Think we'll lose the house.
Vote Brexit, they said, save Steel.
Vote Boris, they said, save Steel.
I'll still vote tory again - I don't trust Labour"
Sewage discharging in #LakeDistrict river.
United Utilities doing what they do best. Video taken at 10am this morning on the river Brathay.
The Environment Agency is permitting up to 1.1 million litres a day of sewage to come out of this pipe. This is making its way into Englands largest lake in a @UNESCO world heritage site and National Park.
Save Windermere has made a new short film about this pipe ⬇️

Paula Vennells, CEO of Post Office, given CBE 2019 "for services to the Post Office and to charity"
Alan Bates has refused an OBE while she retained hers. #MrBatesvsPostOffice
For years Labour @KevanJonesMP has been officially asking for her CBE to be withdrawn.
Here is his SECOND letter to the Honours Forfeiture Committee 👏🏼👏🏼
The award of a CBE to Paula Vennells, "a person who resided over the widest miscarriage of justice in English legal history, is utterly wrong and deeply insulting to those who suffered prosecutions during her tenure."
We await the reply from a Committee which needs to pull its finger out.

Alan Bates turned down an OBE as Paula Vennells, the woman in charge of the Post Office through the Horizon Scandal, retains her CBE and refuses to give it back.
A man of honour 🙏🏼❤️

Alan, 69: “The first thing that sprang to my mind while reading the letter (offering me an OBE) was Paula Vennells still had a CBE. I felt so deeply insulted. She presided over a policy of harassing hundreds of innocent people. It’s not just that the Government hasn’t asked her to return it. What’s even worse is that despite knowing the strength of feeling about it, how people have suffered and some cases died on her watch – she doesn’t feel inclined to give it back.”
Alan accepted a @PrideOfBritain award in 2023.
We were over the moon to give that to him.
Not all heros wear capes 💜

Please Repost if you would like Paula Vennells, ex-CEO of the Post Office, to have the CBE that Boris Johnson awarded her to be returned.
Please Like if you would like those responsible in Fujitsu to be held accountable too.
