Today, I attended another fantastic workshop by Project ADDER at Masjid Al-Hikmah. It was inspiring to see the officers build such a great connection with the youth, fostering trust and understanding within the community.

A huge thank you to Masjid Al-Hikmah for hosting this workshop on such a sensitive issue and to the Met for driving such a meaningful initiative.

This week we discovered that the council that she leads is a slum landlord with homes unfit for human habitation.

The streets of @NewhamLondon are becoming filthier by the day, and it’s clear that the Labour-run Newham Council isn’t doing enough to tackle this fly-tipping crisis. On my recent walkabout in the borough, I witnessed piles of waste on nearly every corner. Residents shouldn’t have to live in such conditions!

I have reported numerous cases of fly-tipping, but there are many more that go unreported. This issue needs more than just words—it needs action! We must introduce free bulky waste collection to reduce fly-tipping and increase enforcement and CCTV coverage to hold offenders accountable. Every resident deserves clean and safe streets, and it’s time Newham Council stepped up and delivered.

As your independent councillor, I will continue to push for cleaner streets and hold the Council to account. Let’s work together to make Newham a place we can be proud to call home.
