Let me answer the people who say I do not have a chance in hell of being elected Mayor of Greater Manchester next year.

You may be correct. But they also said the same thing to many other people who went on to win or achieve the impossible.

Defeatism, a lack of confidence or giving up never wins a battle or changes the world.

In a democracy, all you can do is to put yourself forward, offer your ideas and vision for the future, and then let the people decide if they want you to lead.

I intend to do just that.
