@dlLambo No government should be above ridicule. To be accused of being anti semetic because you disagree with their actions, is similar to the playbook of authoritarian regimes past and present
@campbellclaret@MichealMartinTD@Keir_Starmer I was concerned that he was walking into a MAGA propaganda event. He took control of the situation (despite some idiot Irish journalist trying to derail it) and displayed intelligence, skill and diplomacy managing the situation.
@BronaghTumulty Bronagh, Irish immigrant here, as you know unfortunately this is part of corporate America (I’ve been through it twice). Everyone will say it to you, enjoy your time off (easier said than done). Keep your head up and know your worth.
@carlquintanilla@RexHuppke@USATODAY I really admire you Carl, being brave enough to speak the truth when it would be much easier to sit on your hands and say nothing.
@ballsdotie As he should, disgraceful behavior. This is a young man doing his best for his country, meanwhile people who are 5 pints deep cheering the fact that he’s being substituted
@RuaidhriOC 100%, a little bit of success and all these people think they’re rugby experts (I’m not). But the vitriol to Prendergast and other members of the team is disgusting. I thought we were better than that
From @TheAthleticFC:
This is the story of James McClean, the man who suffers “more abuse than any other player in England” — and yet almost nothing is done about it. https://t.co/OvhzAXwmDN
@PadraigBelton In some ways, I think we should perceive the right wing English backlash as confirmation that Ireland has removed itself from under the foot of British influence, domestically and globally. The sun is setting on the ‘empire’, and they are not happy about it!
@conormckenna98 I lived in Mullingar, I’m now an emigrant in the US, by choice, not for any other reason. We expect to be welcomed everywhere but we cannot extend the same courtesy to people who need it. Ireland needs to be really careful (I’ve seen this crap in the US). We are better than this
