@l_masu Hi. I'm writing a feature for Nature about the funding of science by philanthropic organisations. Might you be willing to answer a couple of questions about your Wellcome Early Career Award? If so, what's the best way for me to contact you with more details please?
Around 40 companies are already selling or developing blood tests to detect multiple cancers. But can they pick up more cancers earlier and save lives? One I wrote for @Nature w. @EricTopol@jvburnier Nitzan Rosenfeld, Dennis Lo & Tom Callender https://t.co/0NXp2X1ScX
Placebo effects are NOT about expectation, or positive thinking, and you don’t have to believe you’re taking a real drug to feel better, says Harvard’s Ted Kaptchuk. I spoke to him about why placebos really work, and how to unlock our inner pharmacy https://t.co/dSVQOE9C0c
Ultra-processed foods have been linked to obesity and other health troubles, but is the grouping to broad to guide dietary choices?

Getting protein from grass, making it with GM yeast, automated high-throughput crop breeding, boosting crop yields with probiotics and acoustic precision pollination. Five of many sustainable food innovations presented at @fa_next. My piece in @Nature https://t.co/3fKk85utyF
@PaulStamets Not sure the study confirms anything about Lion’s Mane. The benefits could have come from the switch to a vegan diet, the 30 mins cardio exercise daily, strength trading, mental health support, yoga or meditation.
The influence of diet on our immune system function is getting increasingly recognized, a feature today @Nature

Don't know how other authors feel, but seeing the first physical copy of your book, after years of looking at Word files and PDFs... Seems surreal. It's as if someone else wrote it... Anyway, this advance copy arrived in the mail. One more month to pub date ...https://t.co/skiLyCTfmJ

@leerust1966 Hi. I'm a freelance science journalist writing about elvers. Any chance of a quick chat? If so, could you follow me so I can explain in more detail?
Spacecraft are getting smaller, mission design is speeding up and how AI will help humans boldly go where we haven't been before. One I wrote for @GuardianLabs, with @UoPCosmology and @_LucindaKing. Read all about it: https://t.co/dWhx717IB8
A stunning day for a traverse of the Aonach Eagach along Glencoe's hearty skyline with views to the sea lochs, islands and Ben Nevis himself, covered in snow. When Scotland is on form, there's no place like it.
I've been to Glen Affric hundreds of times in the past 45 years, but being there today really took my breath away. There was a remarkably thick hoar frost coating all the vegetation, especially the birch trees, and it transformed the whole area into a fabulous frozen forest.
