@Angry_Staffer On the other hand, maybe lifting the OFAC sanctions would be a good thing for the Petrodollar (USD). Might slow the bleeding of its near monopoly on the currency of world oil trade. If they submit to inspections and shut down their nuke program, I think I'm OK with this outcome.
@Angry_Staffer I doubt Iran would be satisfied by a third party country holding their US Dollars like Qatar did for the $6 billion humanitarian purpose USD a few years ago. Maybe send $20 billion to China, and China pay Yuan to Iran? (Ignoring the AML rules). 2/2
@chamath A tax on income in excess of $1 million a year keeps middle class people in the middle class? In what universe is a person making a million plus middle class? And, if you're pulling in a mill plus and can't "move upward" or gain real wealth b/c of the tax, thats a you problem.
Hmmm... look what happens to average household income by state in the same list order and cor coded by party that won 3 or more of the past 5 presidential elections. What's going on with Florida? Expensive state, low income.
9 of the 10 most expensive states to live in are solid Blue.
9 of the 10 most affordable states are solid Red.
The bluer the state, the higher the cost of living.
@KirkWalden@RepMarkPocan I'm curious. Can you vote if you don't register? Obviously no. Can you register if you don't have one of these documents? No. So can you vote if you don't have one of these. No. So what exactly makes it disingenuous? Also, #2 is literally an attempt to deny women voting, again.
@CarStan1114@RepMarkPocan How hard is it to understand the chain of events here. If you must have one of the list to register to vote, then you must have on of them to vote. When you have to show it is entirely unimportant to the conclusion that people who lack the listed documents CANNOT vote.
@docmurdock@mariellaf1 You mean other than losing my right to representation in and by Congress when the president unilaterally went to war with a sovereign foreign nation without the REQUIRED permission of Congress?
@unusual_whales I suppose hes half right, Trump probably understands monetary police more than a lot of people, given that most people have nearly zero knowledge of it. Doesn't even remotely mean he knows enough to be fed chair, or, you know, POTUS.
@MichaelLangeNYC Most politicians change their position because its politically expedient.
Fewer do it because they've actually changed their position.
Trump does it because it's good for him, personally. Screw everyone else.
@atrupar This is so stupid. The money for SNAP is there, in the treasury. The money is still coming in every day. It's just not going out. The countries more liquid right now than normal!
@artisanrocky The dog finally caught the car and has no idea what to do next.
But, subconsciously, the dog knows it only caught the car because the car is actually planning to run it over.
