@Seraphjones@SwiftOnSecurity Check out the "mom's" hand creepily scurrying over the "daughter's" shoulder about halfway through, with at one point ~8 fingers.
@The_Suburbanist@ShabazzStuart Over three years of study and community engagement isn't advocacy, it's good (and honest) governance. This is also articulated in the presentation. You are (honestly) engaged in advocacy against urban environments, and your opinion is irrelevant.
@ShabazzStuart@The_Suburbanist Ernest replies to insincere people rarely accomplish anything (though I appreciate your attempt). Stat appears in joint MTA/DOT presentation to CB2 last year, but this self professed anti-urbanist is obviously not interested in the truth.

@default_friend lurking https://t.co/TYgTWowo9J and alt.pyrotechnics (and others with less memorable names) at 13 before the WWW existed, newsgroup culture fairly well established (if rather parochial) by gen-Xers and boomers, who were the real pioneers. Not to mention MUDs, the WELL etc...
@jon_stokes Same. I was in 1st grade and remember following the story of the first teacher in space (Christa McAuliffe) in the lead up to the launch more than I remember watching the launch (though we definitely did). I wasn't really equipped to process what happened at that age.
Last week, we launched one of the largest public service campaigns in LinkNYC’s history with our partners at @NYCMayorsOffice + @intersection_co—directing New Yorkers to warming centers, buses, and @nyc311 support in real time, citywide. LinkNYC was built for moments like this.
@MicahLasher Thanks, Micah. I didn’t realize the scale of the operation relative to local law enforcement. Puts all of this in much better (and even more alarming) perspective.
@JCColtin You don't recall seeing Eric Adams videos on Link kiosks because they weren't there.
They posted a bunch of content, but it was mostly static with lots of words.
@matthewstoller It would be much more concerning if he were making hiring decisions for his first deputy, especially their chief of staff. I agree that he needs to be making decisions, but he has much higher priority hires that need his attention than who his (extremely experienced) FDM hires.
This country desperately needs people who will condemn the assassinations of MN Rep Melissa Hortman AND of Charlie Kirk.
Who will condemn the murder of CEO Brian Thompson AND the attempted kidnapping of Gov. Whitmer and the arson of Gov. Shapiro’s home and all the escalating political violence.
We need people who respond without calls for vengeance. Without spreading conspiracy theories. Without fanning the flames of hatred.
If you are one of those people, please speak out now. Speak out loudly and everywhere.
“If you think the world is selfish and rotten, go to the cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer overlooking Omaha Beach. See what one group of men did for another on D-Day, June 6th, 1944.” — Andy Rooney
@default_friend@ggiillbbyy It's not a gift. A gift is something given without expectation of compensation. Tips are absolutely expected in return for service, and when denied it's usually because of 'poor service'.
Tips are not a gift, and real gifts are also taxed past a certain threshold.
It's not just you -- we're seeing a nationwide uptick in text message based scams where they claim you have an "unpaid toll" & "click or reply here to resolve".
If you receive this text message, do not reply, click, give them your information or pay.
