EXCL: Jonah Kusi-Asare is set to join Fulham FC on a long-term contract! The 18-year-old Swedish striker will move from Bayern Munich for around €6m. He spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage and turned down other Premier League clubs in recent days. Fulham see big potential in Kusi-Asare and plan to develop him step by step. @SkySportDE

England won't have the luxury of taking big risks vs Panama, they need the 3 pts to clinch 1st spot and it matters because here's the difference:
1st: Congo R32, Mexico R16, Argentina etc
2nd: Colombia R32, Spain R16, France etc
1st = No Spain/France before the final.
Fulham and Álvaro Arbeloa are very close to reaching an agreement. It should be announced soon.
My understanding is that Arbeloa has laid out the kind of project he wants. He is not looking for a short-term survival mission. He wants to rejuvenate the squad, add two or three players capable of raising the level immediately, put greater emphasis on young talent with development and resale value, and, to find some of that talented youth, create a clearer pathway from the academy to the first team. He has also outlined the staff he would like to bring with him.
As for the football, don’t judge him on what happened with Real Madrid’s first team. By his own admission, that was a situation in which he had to be “the manager he had to be”.
His Castilla side had a very clear identity: possession, high pressing, intensity and the desire to dominate games. Flexibility when required, but with one non-negotiable principle: aggressive pressing without the ball. This is not a coach who wants his team sitting deep and defending its own box.
His influences are easy to spot too. Rafa Benítez’s obsession with improving players individually. Pellegrini’s love of attacking width and tempo. Mourinho’s intensity, leadership and training-ground detail. And from Ancelotti and Del Bosque, the belief that man-management is just as important as tactics.
Fulham have decided to back his vision
