Happy World EV Day everyone! I bought my first EV last year and haven’t looked back. Fast, practical, zero maintenance, *and* environmentally sustainable. What’s not to love?!
@alexgsmith @DohertyLawTeach Agree w/ “faster typeahead”, but does that necessarily = useless BS? Isn’t there clear potential for domain-focussed sentence/paragraph autocomplete tools?

Anyway, the good news is :-
1) McKinsey is waking up to "use appropriate methods"
2) McKinsey is normally at the vanguard of the laggards
... hence it'll only be 10-15 years before the rest realise. About 25 - 30 years for new management practices to spread is quite normal.
@johncutlefish Love this @johncutlefish. I sometimes worry that endless playback of risks, and reminders of variable scope under deadline, sound negative or even patronising - but it really is necessary, and leads to happier outcomes for all.
Nice long read: #data "should reflect reality, but sometimes reality changes and the data stays the same. That’s why we have notaries, supervisors, lawyers – actually, all those boring people that #blockchain thinks it can do without" https://t.co/MXMiOgr3mk #emissions#bitcoin

@lawtomated Cd show user docs scored relevant with high common attributes (metadata, bi/trigrams, etc) - crude Amazonian “if you liked that”. But fairly superficial in revealing the holistic score weightings, thus doesn’t materially improve goal of improving transparency in algorithmic bias?
@lawtomated How do you see explainability improving in contexts where the underlying attributes which define the model are themselves unlabelled (eg predictive coding where docs are scored but w/out reasoning?).
