In 5 years of talking to legal depts at Gartner about managing law firms, I saw few buying on price or speed, which seems the premise of AI native firms.

I was also early to join Integreon (2007). Early market ALSP excitement did not translate to big gains.

Big Law could emulate how the Big Four train juniors. Historically, however, they have not. And so far, I'm not aware of any large law firm equivalent to what KPMG is doing, per WSJ.

Also, firms reduce personal risks of giving bad advice.

But when AI makes it easier, faster, and low risk enough to use it for routine work, mid-tier firms may suffer
