@Pinboard I somehow missed the archiving renewal notices and got a final one this morning saying it was expired. I just renewed now; is it possible to preserve my archive? Also, the archive download button is broken and I've sent a few emails asking for one; could I get a copy?
@HelicoptersofDC And now I can visually confirm the tail number is indeed N2171C. Looking at the FAA records for this and N911DC, it looks clear it's the same aircraft; they just changed its registration number for some reason. I wonder why?
@HelicoptersofDC Ohh, looking closer at the FAA registration for N2171C, it does say it's an "N-Number Change" record, with the "Pending Number Change" as 911DC. I don't know if that means they're changing N911DC to this number or if they bought a new one and are switching its number to N911DC.
@xyz1239876@HealthEquity@amphenol Just to make this clear: It's $3.95 every month! They charge you $47.40 a year to compensate for the terrible burden of holding your money!
@DavidRimshnick @docmilanfar I'm not sure why more people aren't pointing this out. It may be wrong - I'm not an expert in neurology or AI! But even if it's wrong, it seems like a natural misconception and I was hoping to hear more knowledgeable people talk about why!
@andrewleefinkle@maustermuhle Yeah this sounds indistinguishable from a phishing scheme. "Enter all your most sensitive info here and you'll get $30!" I'll bet it's legit, but they need to give way more proof that it is (and maybe don't ask SSN!)
@SGgrc Re: Diceware, I don't know why you think 10 words are necessary. I use 6 and my Lastpass vault would still take half a million years to crack on a GPU, even with iterations == 1 (luckily it's not 1). And it's not harder to remember or type than a regular password.
@steffanwatkins@ZaesADSB There are subtle ways things can change without everyone noticing. My main concern is if they "discover" a new revenue source: billionaires and companies who'll pay to quietly keep their jets off the map. That's not simple to detect.
