PSSD sufferer & volunteer for the PSSD network. Never underestimate what corporations are capable of, an individual is worth far less than the value of a dollar
@DrMarkGhalili@JessicaVaugn This is preposterous. There isn't even a confirmed mechanism as to how PSSD is even caused, there's no biomarker or anything, and you're curing it? And yet some how, no one in the entire community - which i'm deeply intertwined with - has heard of it?
@bluetip_pen@DrMcFillin Are you saying PSSD is actually just a result of marijuana use?... If so, i implore you educate yourself beyond your first 30 seconds of hearing a condition which has caused patients to take their lives..
@Tom12Hathaway@NYPostOpinion And who represents the thousands of* kids you speak of who had adverse reactions? It took years of fighting for this marginalized community of harmed patients to get any recognition. When you have a good experience on meds, all's well. If you have a bad one, society says F off.
@NoblesseCrypto@newstart_2024 So what you're effectively saying is, if you're an outlier and you've been harmed by antidepressants, just screw off?
This is exactly why patients who have been harmed need this, because far too many like yourself would rather brush us under the rug. We fought hard to be here.
Vanderbilt senior Lauren Friedman (@lololizzle) recently spoke at the MAHA Mental Health & Overmedicalization Summit about living with Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD). Her testimony highlighted the urgent need for recognition, research, and treatment for the condition.
@MikhailaFuller Speaking abusively and unprofessionally like this online can get you in a lot of trouble with licensing regulators/employers. Has anyone reported him?
In 2024, New York Attorney General @TishJames wrote a letter to the FDA about the asthma drug Singulair (montelukast) being linked to suicides in children. Try reaching out to your state’s attorney general to ask them to write a similar letter about PSSD.

“Because I don’t know if this is something that I feel like is being talked about enough, because I feel like so many of us are on these meds.”
Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of @KamalaHarris, made a video about her experience with long-term (10–15 years) SSRI use and withdrawal.
NHS GP in London Dr. Gareth Patterson (@GPattersonNI), who goes by the handle “theirishgp” on TikTok, made this video about Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD).
Congratulations to the recipients of the SHAPE grants for PSSD research and much gratitude to Dr Lori Brotto and team at UBC Sexual Health Research @ubcshr

@APApsychiatric How could antidepressants be safe if they have caused at the very least, many THOUSANDS of cases of PSSD? You guys don't actually even know how many people have it because you don't study it! People lives are being ruined, and many are taking their lives. How is this safe??
For a very sensitive piece in a woman’s mag, I'm looking to speak to women who are on/have been on antidepressants about how it affected their sex life, whether good or bad. Did it decrease libido, or is sex easier after anxiety/depression lessened? Can be anon #journorequest
TOMORROW, Saturday August 9th, we are meeting again to file FDA reports together. I will show you how. It’s not as hard as it seems and helps us put our pain and grief SOMEWHERE.
We are supporting Antidepressant Coalition for Education’s (ACE) push to get more reports in as they have petitioned the FDA to change the label for antidepressants. For submitting, and with your permission, your name will be entered into a raffle with ACE to win prizes! This month’s prizes are a free 6-month premium membership with fellow withdrawal coach Baylissa Frederick. a weighted blanket (or regular throw), and a cup/mug. This month’s raffle theme is COMFORT, and we are here to help you feel more COMFORTABLE with the process of filing your report and doing it with friends who have been injured too.
