@primaryteachew This is so true. I am SO proud of my class. The difference between the group of children who walked through the door in September, who will walk out next week is phenomenal. It's not all about the SATs results, it's about them finally believing in themselves.
@MrBoothY6 Totally agree. As with all the qiestions on this ridiculous paper the actual maths is not difficult and indeed, when we went over it after the test, the children saw how easy it was. The difficulty was that they thought the values of a and b should be the same, due to the layout.
@AndyGoode10@SaleSharksRugby Sale deserved the win but full marks to the Tigers. Having lost our coach and most of the coaching team half way through the season, never dreamt we would finish 3rd. Really proud of our team, you have been brilliant. Good luck to Wiggy, you did a brilliant job.
@_MissieBee If this really happened, and I am not accusing anyone, all I can say is ....why? What is it teaching children? Like everyone else, we followed the statutory guidance, why do some feel the need to cheat?
@FixingEducation And one thing that I now feel is that our profession is most definitely ageist. To be truthful, currently I am hanging in there by my fingernails. No respect from parents, but none from SLT either. If the profession continues to treat us this way, too many will leave
@mermhart I was brought up in an age where the saying was 'if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything'such a shame these values have disappeared. Ignore them as best as you can. Sending much love and positive vibes x
@MaxTheMaths I think this is more about the attitudes from pupils and parents post pandemic. As a school we give maths a high focus, celebrating how it is a part of our everyday lives. What we struggle with is parental engagement and attitudes. I do believe 90% is achievable but not atm
@smithsmm When I read the Ed Secs comments I knew immediately that she was setting her lines. I love my job, its the most rewarding career, but like many, I am exhausted by the relentless pressures and workload. The govt know there is a recruitment problem, coupled with massive retention
