🫘"The high protein content of #pulses is one of the reasons they have a key role to play in fixing our broken food system... They're healthy whole foods with a very low environmental footprint" Great blog from #globalbean@Nico_orniCar#politicsofprotein

Last week we had a very nice session about legumes in intercropping with the #GlobalBean! Here is the video replay of the presentation and discussion. https://t.co/xgYUAwCTC4
Our farmer-researcher collaboration brought new insights about using on-farm experiments to increase cultivation of pulses. Swedish farmers managed to overcome several barriers to pulse production! Read more here: https://t.co/NZlAAPbpMM
We are still looking for candidates! How can we use the existing Swedish biodiversity data to assess the impact from food production using LCA? 4-years of funding for a PhD-student in a project with leading ecologist and a broad stakeholder group. Please retweet!
📣Have you seen the many insights generated by @TRUELegumes? With only 1 month left to go, we will highlight some of our main insights/outputs. SO STAY TUNED! #TRUEProject#LoveLegumes#LocallyGrown

Follow @LumineusesAcker for more updates about pulse cultivation and use in South-West Germany! How good are the automatic translations? I'm considering posting in english to connect with more Pulse lovers worldwide.
Challenging year for chickpea test cultivation in Südbaden! Still hoping to harvest something, and we'll definitely try again next year! Spring and summer 2021 will probably remain outliers in the local climate trend...

My project on local pulses goes now online!
Follow @LumineusesAcker, a pilot project to establish a stronger pulse cultivation and consumption in Freiburg and around!
❔❓ What are the potential ecosystem services obtained from intercropping of cereals and grain legumes in Europe?
This question and more are answered in "Diversifying European agricultural systems by intercropping": https://t.co/fZG2ZDwz3W

#worldpulsesday is also a day to try unexpected uses of pulses, like white bean cooking water to fix shrinked wool socks. As a by-product, my housemates enjoyed minestrone, bean-fennel salad, bean spread and bean patties. Everything was gone before I took a picture!
