@audet_stella idk...do you think Disney movies have that much of an impact on us? As children, we aren't capable to understand those underlying meanings. I understand your point of view and can see the relationship, however, most people will associate these movies with happiness and family.
I find Disney is in some way a projection of different generations. sort of in a way of a history book. Each generation shows it's valued in each period. It's very interesting if you think about it like that!
Did anyone notice that there was a gay family in Frozen? However, it was such a short scene and hardly noticeable...These types of changes, are they truly going to make an impact? They are saying that Elsa may be gay as well? Any opinions on this?
I love how social media has been able to bring people together to fight for what they believe in. You are connected to many more people that you would have never been able to interact with.
I think Disney has been recently pushing gender rights and has been promoting female lead characters, however, does anyone find it too obvious and not entirely genuine?
Disney has always been the company to adapt to societal norms. However, I wonder if there will ever be ahead of the game when it comes to stereotyping?
Disney uses hidden meanings that only at certain ages can be understood so no matter what whenever you rewatch the movie you understand it differently!
@RakishanS They can watch them at all ages! that's what they are meant for! Different ages will give the movie a different meaning every time. That's why Disney movies are still loved by adults as well!
@doche_robert That's a good point...However, Disney has always been the company to just always follow how society is flowing at the point in time. They rarely take risks... on how things should be
@MadiLubna it depends on the material, but tbh a lot of the time I receive a poor teacher who reads off the slides which can be done on my own...The teacher makes the difference!
