Genuine question: I don’t understand why is it Elon’s responsibility to decelerate AI when the demand is so great? The demand is so vast that it’s like asking someone in an interview in the food packaging/plastic business why they didn’t try to decelerate the use of plastic to reduce inorganic waste that can can end in landfill, and that they should try harder.

Have they cross a threshold that they should be as accurate as they claim Elon to be? The question is how responsible should the Economist be when they post something to ensure it doesn’t propagate something untrue? How many corrections or retractions have the Economists issued in the last 10 years?

Sorry but standing your ground is not journalism. My 5 year old is also very good at repeating her point without evidence. This is much much the same. The only flimsy logic she even gave was the pace of the change is in her opinion inevitably going to create some chaos but she has not backed it up with any investigated evidence. We need to hold people who do investigation as a living to a much higher standard
