@CheyCab @tsauby Our family of 5 lived a simple life on a very modest single income for 12 years. I went back to work last year thinking it would mostly be for fun money and catching up on investments. There's some of that yes but also we need two full-time incomes to survive now.

@geekyguyjay I've come to the point where I want to forget that Joe exists. Along with a handful of other people associated with him. They parade around so holy and smug but they've sold their souls. I spent 14 years at Bethlehem Baptist and I am glad to have moved on. May God have mercy.

@CheyCab @DoLesbiansTip @charlierybak Absolutely. We definitely don't take our situation for granted. During '08 crisis I worked at a restaurant owned by a design/build firm, we rented part of their space. So many firms didn't make it or had to strip down to to survive but this firm was unscathed. I don't know why.

@CheyCab @DoLesbiansTip @charlierybak My husband is a carpenter/gen contractor. Self-employed. His brother joins him two days a week but otherwise it's a one-man operation. He's consistently busy. Finishing up a two bathroom project and has two more jobs lined up after, taking him into mid-summer. We're grateful.

@CheyCab I'm married to a local dad and he does not miss an aurora. Always getting alerts and keeping me updated though I never have requested this. It's cute.

@LeahBSassy This! Also we've been to two childfree weddings & they both framed it as "make it a date night!" but in reality it just made those weddings expensive for us. Normally we plan our dates around family who watch our kids for free as paid babysitters aren't in our budget.

@emilykmay @lovabler0gue We met when I was 28 and he was 19. Married at 30 and 21. Now 45 and 36. We've both changed over the years but him much more than me. This has absolutely created its own challenges.

@natgrace79 Yes! I had my first one three years ago and drinking the prep was nearly it for me. But they founds some polyps, the kind that can turn cancerous, and removed them. Second colonoscopy coming up in April. Grateful.

@emilykmay I'm a Gen X woman married to a Millennial man and he does my stocking so good every year. Gets little gifts for my sister and her family. This was the 2nd year in a row he gifted my sister and I matching, handmade bird ornaments. When he did it last year my mom burst into tears.
