The ECB have pulled off a blinder. Create a format you own, give it loads of attention, sell it at a massive price to Indian franchises. Thereby effectively bank rolling English cricket for 20 years off the back of it.
Now the monies in, it’s our turn to play our part. Ignore it and get behind the Blast and the Metro Cup.
I wonder how long it will take for the Indian investors to recoup, trying to buy our summer sport and destroy test cricket.
Do the commentators and pundits on The Hundred coverage sign some kind of oath that means they must remind us how “great” it is at every given opportunity. Desperate stuff for a desperate tournament.

Time for everyone involved in England cricket to realise we need a proper competitive 50 over tournament in the County Cricket circuit to practice for completion like this and future World Cups 🏏
A real concern for Eng should be that these defeats are with players who grew up learning the craft of 50 over cricket. Since 2020, there has been no 50 over domestic cricket for Eng’s best young white ball cricketers. Nowhere for future players to learn the craft of the format.
He’s good enough for England. It’s been clear for a while now. He just doesn’t tick Rob Key’s “express pace” box.
Not everything in bowling is about express pace though. Control and guile are useful too. Some bloke called Jimmy demonstrated that pretty conclusively.
Nick Hoult again promoting @ECB_cricket stating T20 ticket sales are down. Of course they are! The ECB have deliberately given Clubs a far worse schedule + reduced marketing with Sky happily playing along. FACT - T20 had its biggest ever crowds the year before the 100 started.
