@AI_EmeraldApple The deceit was fucking stupid but I can't get over the fact that many people are ignoring the sex pest allegations because they turned out to be nothing so far and the fact that we have to treat fiction as real life now according to many of those people.
@alexia_moi_voss@darlingstrawbie@Rev_says_desu They are addicted to internet drama, its a shame but what can you do? Without it they have no content that sets them apart from generic right wing content. All of the real trad Christians I know only use X for their businesses or because they are creators.
@DolioJ One of these dudes made a youtube channel where he uploaded this a few months ago. The video was made private and I forgot the name of the channel but I remember people going after them in the comments.
@ObviousRises I have an odd feeling those group chats may not be that holy after all and now they want to put the lid back on the pot before something leaks that they don't want leaked.
@MariaGraceVT In your tweet here, you implied there were conversations that took place in the chats that leaned sexual. Then people ran with it to call Ember a sex pest. So my question is, IS there anything to that OTHER THAN your screenshots that you've already shown? https://t.co/UpB3bzebNy
@Tectone I can confirm as someone who was in multiple dms and group chats with Ember that conversations with him did lean towards sexual things sometimes that at least I personally wouldn't have been okay with discussing with him if I had know I was talking to a biological man.
It also seems like certain elements within the anti-woke movement are moral panicking over fiction again. Even some among them who are huge anime fans of some of the most "problematic" fiction are moralizing about other people's fiction.
Oh yeah, we make fun of feminist and women's romance fiction all the time, but only insofar as we find it hypocritical that "pious women" who read these shame men for their "gooner anime", while engaging in some of the most degenerate written corn ever.
As I said, I have ZERO problems with ANYthing in fiction as long as it is fiction and not some contemporary account of a real crime. Just because I might not like the fiction doesn't mean I'm being critical of it, and I don't need to be a fan of it to defend its existence.
I'm sorry, but you cannot be anti-censorship and, at the same time, weaponize other people's fiction against them beyond the hypocrisy argument. You cannot use the narratives in the fiction they wrote as a characterological endorsement, and imbue the morality back to the author. Basically, separating the author from their work is a fundamental rule of literary analysis...
TLDR: You can't be okay with some fiction and not others if you are anti-censorship.
I need to go to bed but I'm just gonna post this for everyone's reference.
I hope you enjoy your stay on the interwebs weebs. Stay safe out there.

@SomePerson5150@MommaOcco_@ember_paradox I don't read manga but I enjoy dark themes in things. I am a 40k fan who never recoiled at the demonculaba lore and even wrote some dark medieval stuff up myself. Like GoT, its fucked up to have the dark things happen to minors.
@itsHityed@MadamSavvy I was just making a joke. However considering what has come out over the last two or three hours, this makes it even funnier to me.
@MommaOcco_ Wait her husband was in the chat where that train comment was made? With who people believed at the time to be two other women? Hmm.... interesting.
@MadamSavvy I should clarify, I dont think he is going to do anything bad but I got the scene in my head of a Christian dude in a suit walking up to his wife on her pc or phone, grabbing the device and running away with it to hide it somewhere.
