It took me 18yrs a Bsc, 2 post grads, an Msc & multiple interviews before I reached band 7. Even then I'm in a training post!

📈 NHS nurses received a pay rise of at least £1,400 this year, on top of a 3% increase last year.

We're grateful for their hard work and regret that some union members have voted for industrial action.

@L101Mike A band 6 after 18months! Which area is that in? I work with colleagues who are still a 5 after 18years as there are no opportunities. Its taken me 19yrs and a MSc to get to a Band 7. You literally have no clue. It's not automatic and it has nothing to do with 'being good enough'
