The stimulation of global muscle hypertrophy probably causes similar losses of fat as the new anti-obesity drugs semagludite/ozempic. Together with members of the HyperMet consortium, we have written a short opinion piece to highlight this. https://t.co/5Z8al8nB64
So happy that this is finally out now (do not ask why it took this long, it was not the reviewers!). Cancer cells reprogram their energy metabolism to generate substrates for anabolism and we think hypertrophying muscles do the same. More to come! https://t.co/HkOvtbt4ky
Personal opinion,

@Jert17 Zato bi bil po mojem mnenju na koncu dneva mogoce boljsi izraz “science informed”. “Science based” je kul izraz, ki ga opustis, ko delas prvo raziskavo, in mas za sabo prakso. Kmalu ugotovis, da real life situacije tezko priblizas okolju v katerem ponavadi poteka raziskava.

"To strengthen those muscles around"
If this is your only answer why you chose an exercise you should reconsider calling your training a "functional training".
If you can/'t answer: why? Where? When? How much? everything and nothing can be called a functional training.
